Reset the timing this weekend, it was set about 10 BTC. Reset it to 5 BTC and took it for a drive, it averaged about 180 most of the time. Oil pressure was still a little low but was better, it was holding about 20lbs at operating temp.
Still can't get that air leak to stop at the fuel pump, I'm starting to think maybe the case has a crack in it around the fitting. I did notice that sometimes after I shut it off the whole fuel system drains back, guess its time for a fuel pump rebuild. Any idea of the best place to pick up a kit?

Brown truck showed up yesterday with my fan shroud extension and fuel pump kit . I got the extension on last night and it seems to pull a lot more air now. Maybe it will help with the cooling.

I got the fuel pump rebuilt, put it on and did a little testing. It starts so much better now after sitting overnight; I guess it’s been leaking back a long time. It was still was getting air from the inlet side of the pump though, since I replaced and checked all the fittings except the tank one I decided to smear some grease around the fitting, and sure enough the fuel bowls filled up and no more air. I would have thought that being the bottom of the tank it would sweat fuel before air would leak but I guess not.

Its been a long time since I updated my thread. Mostly because I've been having to much fun driving it. I finished up a few little things since the last pictures, pin striping, spare. The BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY this fall

I was just putting up with the transfer case growl all summer. So while the weather is less than ideal for jeeping I've pulled the transfer case out for a rebuild and to get it ready for my new overdrive.

Nice!  Funny that you're on the blue ridge park way, I have some family near west jefferson and boon and Asheville, last time I was visiting there I was thinking it would be an awesome trip to drive the willys through the blue ridge mountains in the fall!

I finally have door frames, after looking over the 3a/ m38 doors I had and the modifications I was going to have to do to make them work right I decided to go for the walcks repop.
Also decided to update to the newer door frame that the hinges are on the side of the tub, having the hinges stick up for your foot to catch on didn't seem like a great idea to me.
Over all not a bad fit, had to do some adjustments like I thought I would.

Great pics. Looks like you have a nice place to play in the snow.  Do you happen to still have the early style hinge brackets that mount about the door opening. If so, would you be interested in selling them?

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.

I never had any of the early hinge pockets,so was a little easier to go with the late style.
There are a couple places that make canvas tops, but I'm hoping to get one from Jpet.
