My Willys Flathead 226 continues to miss, badly, when I push the
pedal to the metal i.e. the last 20% of the accelerator … 1962
model, 4WD …

I’ve got everything new, except the distributor and have not
went into the valve train … Lots of miles on the motor and
test readings are all within spec … Any suggestions?

I’m frustrated since October 2014 … This is my first post
to the CJ2A page ... so thanks in advance ...

Optimistically,

1) the Chineese condensers available today are nothing but trouble, try a new one!
2) you did not by chance use NAPA points ?, they come with an additional spring that sometimes is missing from the box!, this happened to me, after 1/3 throttle it missed and sputtered, no power.

Also, when I tested the pressure on my fuel pump - it varied at
different speeds and loads ... Maybe I should try a 3rd fuel pump ... comments ...

Also, the centrifugal weights in the distributors are pretty
loose on the shaft and the springs look original ... Any source suggestions
for weights and springs?

FYI ... thanks everyone ...
