Has anyone put together a Napa to Willys part number cross reference sheet for the 2A's? Might not be a bad idea to add such a list to the 'Parts Project' forum.
Maybe it has already been done....The MB/GPW folks have such a list and it has been handy to have.
Mostly Curious...

Howard:
The MB list is what I use. Don't know that it's ever been "updated" for differing CJ2A parts, but that WOULD be a good idea. Some specific areas have been compiled already (electrical), but not the whole sheebang. I will start a list. As new parts are discovered, I'll keep adding them. Can also track "other" brands too. I like the idea Howard. I will post the MB list here and I will open up a new section for adding more parts.
Here is a link to the parts list, it is a pdf file. I will make it a web page so it can be added to and changed. Napa MB/GPW parts list. Russ Edited by russnj - 01 Dec. 2006 at 10:34pm |

Here you go:
It was posted under the topic Brake Shoes.
Maybe it could be added to the Parts list Project.....a more logical place for it...........but then again, sometimes my 'logical' and others 'logical' don't really agree. Edited by rocnroll - 06 Jan. 2007 at 8:17am |

When I was looking for that list on the G503 a month or so ago, I found discussion about NAPA changing their part numbers, thereby making some part numbers list obsolete. So, there is a possibility that that one or more of the lists at the links noted in this thread may be out of date....? CJAlaska |

I would think unless they run things really crazy there at NAPA, that even if the part numbers are old numbers, as long as they are NAPA numbers they should have a 'cross-reference' chart for them as well as other manufacturers too...........the key is finding a counterman that cares.

or go to: www.napaonline.com and put in the numbers, or search for your own part numbers. i used that to find many of the parts i needed, that my local store said were not available. i simply wrote down the part numbers, went in to the store, and when they input those numbers into the computer, it showed it. this leads me to believe that either their books ARE out dated, or their newer books do not reference older part numbers, even though the number may be in the computer system. and the computer at my local store does not have "search" capability. And the guy running the computer probably doesn't have "search capability" either..........a good parts man is worth paying extra for.

you are so very right, just today, i heard "let me get my parts book", after about 5 minutes of fumbling through, he walks back over to me and says "there were never any part numbers for that part you are looking for". So, i get online, find the number, take that back in, and when he enters that into the computer, walla, look what we have here, and the computer screen even told him where to find the number in the book. guess what, he didn't even have the right book..lmao

I went in to NAPA yesterday and the guy I got to help me was also a member of the local antique car club. He bent over backward to get me the parts I needed. A really great guy. He had to look all of the part numbers up in the old books he had because the computer didn't go back that far.
BTW, the numbers were different than the MB & GPW list I took in with me.
Just thought I would let you all know.

I have taken this list to Napa also. The parts I got weren't even close on the rubber flex axle brake lines. I haven't used it for anything else, so I have no other opinion. I believe like the rest, it all hinges upon the guy behind the counter.
