I REALLY want a set of these 7.00-16” NATO tread tires.
The only ones I have found available in the USA are 6.00-16” through Universal Vintage Tire.

Looks like a factory version of Jeff's modified NTDs.
I don't see anything wrong with that.

I had a set of them on a unimog (10.5r20) they were surprisingly good. The only problem I had was when they were below freezing they turned into plastic.

I am hoping that with enough requests we might influence one of the big dealers like Universal Vintage or Coker tire to import a large batch of the:

whats the price per tire on the 7.00?
EDIT I went through the motions of ordering just to see the shipping. total comes to about 1100 or about 270 a tire with shipping. I would imagine it would cost that much a tire plus shipping if Coker or any body else had them Edited by 47cj2a - 08 Feb. 2023 at 9:18pm |

That's weird, a friend I grew up with built a "62 Dart with a 413....my first car was a '61 Valiant with a transplanted 273 in place of the slant six.
Funny, I'd kinda like to have that same car with the Slant Six in it now. |

I talked with Coker tire about importing the Camac brand CJ120 7.00 x 16” NATO tread tires.
Looks like this is actually going to happen. Price per tire is $189. This is a special order and we are working on shipping cost. For anyone wanting the Camac CJ110 6.00 x 16” size; Those are listed as available through Universal Vintage Tire Co. Listed at $231 per tire. Edited by oldtime - 22 Aug. 2023 at 2:33pm |

Thanks for doing the work to get those over here.
Are there any height comparison photos of them (6.00 or 7.00) out there against 16" STA super traxions or 6.00 NDT's? |

What does this mean? Are we to speak for them now, contact Coker if we want some or ?? As for shipping I could pick mine up in Chattanooga at Cokers for less than having them sent to me. |

Chad,
Not sure yet how shipping will work out. I advised Coker salesman that there may be many more than myself wanting these tires to be imported. I’ll let you know more when I am updated. For right now…. The Camac NATO tires are only made in 2 sizes that were made to fit the Series Land Rovers and so they also will be an ideal fit for Willys Jeeps. Size CJ110 @ 6 x 16” Size CJ120 @ 7 x 16” They both are tube types bias ply construction with a 100% aspect ratio. Made by Camac of Portugal in business since 1967. I have looked everywhere for these here the USA. Universal Vintage Tire sells 2 sizes of them but does not list the 7 x 16 size. I have bought tires sourced from universal vintage before. I expected them to be my best bet; but apparently they don’t care to import the 7.00 x 16” size. Go figure. I kept searching and finally got a salesman from Coker to check on availability. I am in the process of ordering multiple tires for myself as a special order. Like I say they will cost me $189 each plus ??? Currently converting the tire specifications from Metric to English. Will post my findings shortly. Edited by oldtime - 22 Aug. 2023 at 5:08pm |
