I usually buy new tappets when I rebuild an engine, so I have a bucket full of used ones. If you want a set of them they are yours for the price of postage.

I see they are only $7.50 each at
Ron Fitzpatrick.  I think I will go that route. Thanks all for the quick response and the source  :).

The only tappets I see on Ron Fitzpatrick’s catalog are the .004” oversize ones. Make sure you have access to someone who can ream the tappet bores before you spend your money.
I understand there are still some places that can resurface the face of tappets and lifters, and anyone with an old-style valve grinder can reface the tips.

Oldpappy,

Can you take you up on your offer for a set of 8 tappets?

Thank You

Dave,

Next time I go down to the barn I'll toss some into a box. I'll probably toss more than 8 in there so you can pick out the better ones.

Send me your mailing address via PM.

It is not a good idea to post personal information such as addresses whether email or residential, and same for phone numbers on an open forum, unless you like having scammers contacting you with great sounding deals, offers, and fake prizes.
