That looks like the cross member for the new style frame that came out in 1949. The one before that had holes on the sides and on the flat top to mount to the frame.
All depend on the frame it is getting mounted too - if mods are needed. First post says 1947 Jeep. Perhaps the Jeep Police will weigh in.

I think you're right, it definitely doesn't look like my 47 CJ2A. It looks like the newer style which was found on 3As and I think maybe the later 2As? I found one that I need , it's being sent from Indiana. Thanks everyone for chiming in.
