Finally got this thing painted , it didn't go easy though. Half way through the first coat my almost new $200.00 devilbiss spray gun started acting up. Wasted almost an hour taking it apart, cleaning it,replacing seals several times . Ended up smashing it in a million f*****g pieces and finishing the job with one of my old siphon guns, came out pretty good I think.

Looks great to me too, but where's the toolbox lid?  How will you put it on without damaging paint?

See lee you should be a Cheap SOB like me. When I painted the inside of my hood the packing around the needle in my HF spray gun leaked and I ended up with 1/2 dozen drips in the paint. I wrapped a rag around it and finished the second coat then walked out to the trash can and threw it in. I'll clean up the new gun I bought ahead of time first thing in the morning before I do the Exterior.

Mark,

Ya done good. She looks really great and you should be proud of what you have accomplished with all the obstacles you encountered and never gave up on the mission.

Will be looking forward for the next exciting chapter when she is on the road.

Well done,

Frank

Painted the tool box cover separately and will bolt it on.

I am cheap, it was dripping out of the tip and I couldn't make it stop, cleaned it, new seals so it was smashy smashy time. My siphon guns work fine just so much paint in the air. You must be close, hope you have better luck.

Nice job. Well done sir!  Now you’ll have to worry it back together without scratching the shiny paint.

Nason single stage urethane, paint goes on nice and has an excellent finish. I don't know if it's just this color but had coverage issues. To anyone using this exact paint and color I would use a black primer. After I discovered this issue I put on a base coat of the same color and sprayed over that. This looks great when done but next time I think I'll go with acrylic enamel, always had good luck with that.

Lots of masking tape in the touchy spots.
