Actually don't know how Jason got the tailgate out of my sight long enough to pull this off. Guess I'm just getting old, but made my day.......

"Briar Rabbit" is finally mounted on the rotissare and ready for tons of patchwork. Nice just to move inside for the rest of the winter. We're trying to meet a Memorial Day deadline to get my 89 year old dad (Navy Seabee) in the parade. I think its very "iffy" at this point that it will be in this Willys. I've been adding photos to our Photobucket site, which is on an earlier post in this thread. Tried to include it here with no luck..

Gil, In hindsight, was there any particular sequence of removal/replacement that would make this go smoother?

I did a lot of my outside panel first because it gave me a place to weld my hat channels and floor riser in place.I found it easy after to make up and install front and rear floor.Had my hat channels pieces and floor riser made at a local metal shop.Hope it helps, that the way I did it.You can go check my post in Your jeep project under Restoring cj2a into a mb wwII tribute.

Well since one of our drain holes was toast, Jason used the good one as a model and made a set of molds for the machine press. He stamped this out yesterday. Don't think they look too bad.

Yeh what he said. I was looking for a pair of these last year. Also, please make the plug that goes into them.

I am curious, was these plugs originally available for the 2a? It sounds like a good idea to have them. Jim |

They really do look like a good item to go in the Member Created Parts section. ( possibly with an option of a little more panel around them too) |
