Well Briar Rabbit's come a long way since we found her in April 2016. Photo included. and we still have a little more to go. But it feels so good to be assembling!!!!!! We're starting our final mock-up to drill new body mounts, make sure all the pieces fit as they should and then take everything apart to grind down the body, prime and paint. It's been a long road (38 months, working one night a week) but a great experience working with my son-in-law. We drove the frame around the neighborhood (heck I liked it like that)and everything functioned as it should. But its finally looking like a Jeep again and that's pretty exciting.

Thanks for the replies......... Yes Greg, Thought you'd appreciate that color and its already gone. I know your not a lover of OD but having served three branches of the service, its in my blood.   Mike & Mike, Thanks for the compliments. Jason worked hard to attempt to get the right angles for that hump.

We were able to get a coat of Marine Corps OD on Briar Rabbit just before the New England cold front set in. Just happy we don't have to worry about additional grinding and wire wheeling over the winter months.

Well its been a while and we are in the final stages of assembly(I hope). Painting all the small pieces (winter still hasn't hit the CT shoreline) and installing gauges and lights to connect to the wiring harness. For safety sake, we changed the original running lights to LED turn signals that ended up brighter than the headlights. We may have to change out the old headlights just to even things up. Finalizing the adjustments to the parking brake and installing the anti-rattle pins in the transfer case this week. Three years and nine months, working one night a week (only missed three nights) and we hope to finish by April, which will make it four years to the month. Holy ???, we have a lot of parts left over. Guess we overestimated parts needed. We used as many original parts as we could. Enjoying every minute of this build!!!!!!!!!

Wow Dana looking very good! It has certainly come a long way since I last saw it. This warm weather has definitely been a huge help with making progress on some outside projects. At this rate you will driving down the road in no time!
