Hello All, I bought a (I Believe) Bantam trailer back in June to use as a camp trailer. The title says that it's a 1949 and doesn't say that it's a Bantam. There is no DATA/VIN on it so I'm not sure how the previous owner titled it.
I have done quit a bit of web surfing and I'm fairly certain that it is a Bantam, just by the style and features. Although, I believe it to be closer to a 1946. There is one feature that I cannot identify and that's the hitch. It appears to be fabricated. I'll be hanging around the forum looking for parts and reading all about your trailers. Here's some pics form time of purchase and some progress. Also a couple of the hitch. |

Nice trailer! Yes, it does look like a T-3C. The hitch, from the angles you posted, may be original but the extra weld seams around it - I can't be sure.
Art also has a website to verify some other details as well |

Welcome, Mike!
I agree, T3-C, and also agree earlier than 49... the hitch casting with the hole in it and Vee notch frame reinforcements are likely 46. (...and it looks simply rockin' behind that 8 )

What the gentleman above says rings true. It's an early one based on those clues! Nice set up!!

Don't scrap the original wheels! They are KH solids and worth a bit!

Welcome!!!
Glad we finally got your account fixed too. Very nice find!!! Definitely has some early production features in the hitch casting and tongue gussets and solid disk wheels. Hitch Coupler was obviously beefed up like Rus said and not buggered up. I'd put you in the 1946 serial range roughly after 4498 based on current database info. If you do not have a dataplate did you get a title with a serial number? |

I did get a title (California) but it lists the make as a SPCNS and the model as a Aried. I have no idea where that information may have come form. Also, a serial/VIN number has been stamped onto one of the frame rails (I assume DMV did this). Edited by Bantman - 24 Aug. 2019 at 5:20pm |

That's a nice trailer. We use ours for camping also- works great. I upgraded the coupler which you can see on another post here.
