I'll be bringing home a trailer this week.  Not sure what model it is, but looks like a T3C from what I can compare it to.  I don't have photos yet to post, but will.  It's missing leaf spring brackets, lead springs, and axle, which seems weird but the trailer is free so I said yes.

What can I do for hangers, shackles, and springs?  Can I use 2a stuff?  I found nos axles on 3bay that I will probably order.

The trailer is pretty straight overall, but has rust.  My goal is to get it rolling and prepped for a camp trailer to pull behind my 2a.  Should be fun.

Pictures will help.

If I recall, the leaf springs and shackles are the same as the front ones on a 2A but you will want to find some Bantam spring hangers to get the ride height correct. Someone on here might have a rusted out Bantam that is getting parted out. If the serial number tag is intact, you can find out which style of shackle you'll need. bantamt3c.com has a lot of good info.

I can't recall a source for replacement hangers. But about everything else can be had.

The springs are the same as 2A fronts, as stated. The shackles from a 2A can be used, depending on the year. Some years had bar type shackles.

D&L Bensinger has replacement sheet metal bits.

Army Jeep Parts has lots of small parts/hardware to help.

Thanks for the info and links guys!  I remember reading that 2a front springs are the same and maybe Dana 25 wheel hubs are the same?

Here are some photos of my new project.  I haven't found any data tags on it, but maybe somebody's social security numberLOL

Very nice, it has the original Fulton 06 coupler. The drawbar casting is the later style.

wow...looks very decent. The hard stuff (coupler, leg, tailgate) are all nice! The rest of what is missing is easy to source. And yes the D25 hub, sans drum is a direct swap.

Got it home!

Now to collect parts and make it a roller.  It will probably need a new floor eventually...

Looking at this photo makes the driveway look way flatter than it is. LOL

So I've picked up a bunch of NOS parts and should be able to start assembling soon.  New axle, new spring hangers, new springs, used set of wheel hubs and covers.  I'm picking up a set of 5 16" wheels off a Willys wagon this weekend that I found for $30 if you can believe that.  Two of them will go under the trailer.  Should have a roller very soon!

FWIW the wagons only came from factory with 15” wheels.

Really?  My service manual lists Kelsey Hayes 16x5 wheels as an option for wagons and trucks.  Regardless, I haven't seen the wheels in person yet, just photos and the seller says they are 16" off a wagon.  I'm not really concerned with the diameter.  My trailer doesn't have wheels, these appear to be original steel wheels, and can't beat the price.  I'll post photos on Sunday after I pick them up.

EDIT - looks like the 16s were available for trucks as I look through manual closer.  Either way, it doesn't matter to me since these won't be going on a truck or a wagonThumbs Up

Looks like pre-1955 Kelsey Hayes to me. (Non creased disks)
Can’t see any tire size marking …So are they 15 of 16” ?
Either way you can’t beat that price !

Got them home.  They are 16s.  A matching set of four with a fifth wheel that's Ford with the center cut out to clear a Jeep hub.  The guy I got them from says they were mounted to his wagon, which he sold 30 years ago or something.  They should work just fine for getting this trailer back in service.

Also going to need new tires.  Looking at these, any thoughts?  It's a great price, but I don't know anything about the seller.

That’s a GREAT price for 600x16 NDT’s.
Perfect original look for a military T3.
Your photos look to show a civilian T3C (has tailgate), Bantam used regular highway tread on those.
Use what you desire.
