1947 CJ-2A #114832_197624 has safely made its way back to Maine. I hope to make nofender proud, and use it the way it was intended and provide the right home.

Having watched this jeep grow up, it’s kinda like that first time you look at your kid and realize theyre actually a young adult... and they move out! :)

i found the winch isolator that another forum member had shown in a pic. it is made by Daystar and there are different models for different fairleads (rollers and hawse, black and red). look under winch isolator on amazon to get you started in your desired purchasing routes.
once i got it on, i realized it would be best for "lightly" used winch set ups. for those that really use the winch a great deal a regular stopper may be a better choice. ![]() i plan on building a fairlead cover/license plate holder to go over this. fits this warn fairlead perfectly and holds the hook snug. ![]() ![]() |

Hey bight! Congrats on your new ride. Andy did an awesome job on it and I'm sure it's got a great new home! As chance would have it I was just reading your thread on your tan jeep because I was searching bikini tops on the page. Nice job on yours! I just finished posting the photos of the top I made. Did you get the matching trailer for your new Jeep?

i did get the trailer with it. he did a fantastic job and i am privileged to have what many want. a super nice show quality Jeep and one to run in the woods and really get dirty. it encourages me to use both of them more!
thanks for the compliments on the bikini top. this forum supplied the fundamental ideas. i choose to go smaller than any i saw. i did have to put the sleeve in, otherwise it was a disaster. btw, Barry, the wife has already made it clear that this is not the next step though i do have property it would work well on: ![]() |

LOL! Luckily I have a very patient wife! Also we live way back in the woods otherwise I'd probably be getting lots of nastygrams from neighbors. Truthfully, my parts jeep fleet has been invaluable in restoring Grasshopper as well as my brother Ron's CJ3A and I feel grateful to have it. Enjoy your new ride!!
