Oh, no--Model Ts invading the CJ2A Page! Could early Fords be yet another untold interest with early jeep lovers? When I recently saw vintage sewing machines turn up here--and more than one 2A Page habitant admit their interest, I realized the vintage jeep hobby 'tree' has many branches....

Already has the Rocky Mountains, no water pump but I was thinking about it, what do you think? I'm putting brake lights and turn signals on it for safety sake.

Rocky Mountain brakes are a great upgrade, or any aftermarket brakes for that matter. Ts don't have much braking power with just a transmission drum brake that runs in oil. I added disc brakes to mine. Certainly not original, but much safer. A waterpump is not an upgrade, rather a band aid for a poorly maintained cooling system.

All's fair in the off topic section, I don't know about the Sprite though, that's real off topic, plus I hate English cars.

I have a friend who drives a '23 T coupe to work 2-3 days a week in the spring and summer. He fitted a water pump "just to be safe" to avoid overheating in traffic. But millions of those cars did just fine with Henry's stock 'thermo-siphon" cooling system.
Respecting the sovereignty of the CJ2A Page, I'll respectfully curtain further early Ford discussion...

I once helped a pal rebuild a '59 Bugeye and have another who's raced one in SCCA H-Production for 30 years. Don't lure me into a Sprite conversation! The Willys arc casts a wide shadow indeed!

Here's an idea for tail lights. I took some junk oil lamps and converted them to 6v LED. They are very bright, yet draw very little current. I put the same bulbs in my 2A.

I found some Model A type "STOP " lights that have a 3 wire running, stop and turn signal in one light, stainless steel. I'll just have to get small turn signals for the front. No LEDs though, I had a fight to get her to go with turn signals at all , not original.

Handy to keep on the shelf when working on British cars...

On the shelf right next to the box of 3-way Lucas switches: Dim, Flicker and Off.

I've had British motorcycles for 40 years so know all about "Positive Earth" and the Prince of Darkness. Never saw the 'replacement harness smoke' Service Part--excellent! Very funny.

This is the same 6v LED bulbs in my 2A. They are very effective.

I've switched some to negative ground, that's a start.

Kidding aside, good lighting is critical to safety on any vehicle. For many years i played with Indian motorcycles (thus my screen name) and ancient Splitdorf electrical systems. When they are right, they work fine. But they can be tempermental.

Man, those LED taillamps are terrific! You've sold me--they're going into my Naco replicas. Thanks for sharing, a picture's worth a thousand words.

Here's the bulb, sorry its a little fuzzy. For under$4 each, they are a bargain.
