All day job to make these floor boards around the pedals. A little more fitting around the engine then on to the next project.

I'd love to have a set of lifts in the shop like yours. Need a big shop for them, however.

Looks great, Lee.

I wrote a Model T history book, published in 2008 in conjunction with the car's 100th anniversary:

I met dozens of Model T owners and restorers and found them to be very much like early Willys jeep folks.

All cut from the same cloth, in the family I'm doing this for are 2 ts,2 model As, 2 1934 Ford pickups, a 48 and a 46 cj2a, 2 WW2 Burma jeeps , a 5 ton army truck, old tractors of sorts ,a 1936 Oliver bulldozer, an MGB, an Austin Healey bug eyed sprite and a dune buggy and I've worked on every one. The building business is nothing special for me right now so when I finish the t I might be working on the 46 cj , repairing the transmission in one of the 34 trucks or running a bulldozer and excavator. Great people and I love doing all this different stuff.

Ready to drop the motor back in. To avoid hours of frustration try and remember that the right front spindle has a left hand thread.

I'm loving this!  My first car, the one I learned to drive in, was a 1929 Model A Tudor Sedan.  And no, I'm not all that old (I was 15 and the car was 50 when I learned to drive it), but my dad bought one as a father/son project when I was 10.  I eventually bought it from him and did a frame-up rebuild.

I sold that about 20 years ago now, but I've always been intrigued by the idea of a Model T Touring as a light-duty trail vehicle.  Most of the trails I drive on (other than the fun parts) aren't any worse than most of the roads were 100 years ago!

Nice work on the T chassis, Lee. And the car's wheels look great.

The wheels are the only part I haven't touched yet, haven't decided what to do with them yet. Maybe just clean them up but I tend to get carried away.

No it's a new reproduction the owner bought , it was never on the frame though. I had to figure out how to mount it on my own, make body mounts, cut the holes for the steering column , other controls, fire wall. Interesting project.
