”Night of the living Willys”. Seems like an appropriate title this close to Halloween. Long story short, Scott Gilbert had returned from his epic Oregon trail trek, left his wagon in Eau Claire Wisconsin and then Joe DeYoung arranged to have it trucked to his shop. Scott flew in to pick it up but wanted to go camping…pretty much nowhere to go on short notice…guess who shows up at my place? Joe DeYoung, Scott Gilbert and Dave Mikkelson, Joe’s friend and ace mechanic, all showed up for trick or treat.
Well let’s all camp out way out in the back of my property. Beer, brats and Pringles for all. Stories until the wee hours.

Next morning we beat the rain driving through the Kettle Moraine State Forest to my favorite breakfast restaurant.

After that, it was back to my shop, a few last minute repairs to the wagon and Scott left for Cincinnati.
WOW! That was all fast and fun!

Back home for me, it’s all quiet again…….Jeeps-in January 2022 here we come!Thumbs Up

A pleasant surprise when a group of Willys fanatics can get together. What great stories can be told & heard. Especially Scott’s epic adventure. Smile

Sending out a big thank you to Dave for sharing his amazing place with us. He has endless super cool and intersting things check out, and his hospitality is second to no one. It was a thrill to spend time there with my fellow Willys buddies.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.
