Hi. I'm rebuilding the L134 in my '47 CJ2a, and purchased a set of NOS tappet lifters. After cleaning them up and inspecting them, I noticed one is ever so slightly damaged on one corner. It looks like it was dropped and landed on the edge at some point (or was in a box that got dropped), which put a very small nick in the corner that elevated the machined surface of the lifter at the very edge. It is small, but is raised to a point where I can feel it with my fingernail. Is this a problem? Will my cam come in contact with the edge of the lifter face? thank you in advance.

I don't think that is anything to worry about, but it is hard to see much from a photo.
If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

Your observant and that’s very good.
Being at the edge it will never contact the valve stem.
So small that it’s totally unlikely the tappet body was effected.
I would carefully hand grind the edge on a whetstone and forget about it.

Appreciate the feedback. Will do on the whetstone.
