Does anyone have one of the Novak Aluminum D-18 deep pans. And knows if it will clear the Skid plate in the stock position. I do like the idea of additional oil for the gear boxes and OD.  I need to reseal the pan anyway and thought maybe I could do the upgrade while I am at it.

Didn't clear the stock skid plate on mine.
Spaced it down to work.

That could be a deal killer I have my fancy E-Brake Cable passing under the Transfer case pan. And I don't think I can move it.

If you happen to be under your rig knowing how deep (from the mounting surface to the outside of the pan) it is would really help.

A rolling chassis I picked up a while back had a tcase with the novak pan.  Looks nice and cleared the skid.  I didn't dig too far into it at the time but from what I can remember with the stock ebrake the arm on the ebrake hit the pan and wouldn't engage completely. That case should still accessible.  I'll  will try to grab a few pictures and a measurement when I get up to the shop.

As it turns out someone on another forum got me the dimensions of the Novak pan and due to my fancy custom E-Brake setup (I have 11" drums in the back with internal E-Brakes) and the way the cable has to run under the transfer pan. This upgrade won't work. Unless I do a huge amount of change to the very nicely working as it is E brake setup.

I am looking at just making a 3/4" thick spacer to fit between the Pan and the Case. It will increase the Oil volume about 8oz. and not interfere with my E brake. Just take a couple hours to mill out.

I have that pan on my Dana 18 and have no clearance issues with the skid plate.

I will say, however, that my skid plate required some "adjustments" (driving on it with a truck) to straighten out some of my previous sins.  So it may not be perfect enough to call stock.
