Anyone ever tried these?

Price doesn't seem bad.  I have an old set that is pretty hacked up and missing a part or two.  I know Walck's has them but was curious if these were decent

Brian, I just ordered bows for my CJ3A (omix-ada) and I could not tell you if they are good quality or not. I was supposed to have received them yesterday but I guess with Christmas packages the UPS is a little slower. I will let you all know about the quality as soon as I get them.

Other than that the price looks pretty good!

Thanks TW

Yeah the price isn't bad.  Walcks ran theirs on sale today for $255, so if you get them today and could take a look I'd appreciate it.

I'm going to do a closer look at what I have and see exactly what I'm missing and needing to replace.

Being Omix, I would expect them to be poorly made with inferior materials. I would not expect them to fit correctly or to hold up under the rigors of everyday use. I see a couple of things in the picture that I don't think is right, but then, you can't always tell from a picture. My opinion, YMMV. I'm ordering a set from Walck's.    BW

I got a set of top bows from walcks four months ago for 295.00 and they needed a lot of rework they did not fit well. they where to wide at the top and I had to cut the cross pieces down about two inches and recut the v notch. the piece that goe's from the front bow to the windshield was to short.I couldn't get the three degree's lean back on the front bow. I made that piece about 5/8 to 3/4 longer. I hope your's fit better

I think that you're thinking of "topbows", but I believe they are on a hiatus of sorts...

I don't know, seems I've heard that around here someplace.      I just want a set of bows to carry in the side pockets.    BW

I have a set from topbows and they are better than perfect  for my 3B, Wish they would start making again. There is definately a demand for them. But I must say the price of the omix ada is good!

What are the straight bars for in Walck's picture? (Fourth one from each side)

The Omix kit doesn't show those, and I don't have them in my original pieces either...

those go in between the front & rear bows just before they curve to go over the top. they keep them spread apart front to back so they are the right distance between bows. there are holes in the bows they go in.

Thanks Richard

I don't have a full top, just a half top I got off of Bruce Mullen, so I don't have those pieces (or need them for now).  I'm missing the center support between the windshield and middle bow.  Looking at what I have, I may try and clean them up some.  Bruce gave me enough to fix them, but the price on the Omix would save me a ton of work, so I was considering.

I was under the impression that Walcks makes them in house.
