Many thanks for the fine members here who create great products to keep these old Jeeps alive and looking good!

That's a fine looking top there young man. Sorry to hear about Margo. She was a lover for sure. Didn't know you were looking for top bows, that set I bought in Kempton last year I sold and boxed up for shipping. I would have rather drive down to your house instead. Maybe one of these days. Your little green Jeep is still looking good and better that ever with one of Jeff's tops.

So few shots of the finished products...

The exhaust is wrapped. I found these pretty slick hangers at Summit Racing. Pretty simple set up overall.

Wrapped up the center drop brake lines. The hoses are from a 79 Ford van rear. They are about 20 inches long and provide plenty of room for flex.

Also made the drag link. Very happy with the steering geometry. Looking forward to some half decent steering and handling.

And lastly.....this is Olive! This pic is from her Monday vet visit. She weighed in at 30.5 pounds. When we picked her up less than 3 weeks ago, she was 19.6 pounds. She's gonna be a bruiser. She's a sweet gal that is already bringing much joy to our home!

My animal companion rode with me everywhere as well  as A few other dogs I took care of.
Samantha was a Black Lab with a broken R front leg.

I tried to start a Jeep and dogs thread, went nowhere. A friend was recovering from a knee replacement. I sent her a story every day, some made it off to her sister. A few weeks ago, Andree said "I think I know Samantha as well as you did". Not even close. The other night I was scratching Sam and my cat in my sleep.

So.....with a few more additions this past weekend, I am declaring the chassis complete.

Dual master is mounted, along with a refurb of the pivots. Now if I only could find the woodruff key....

Likewise the brake lines are done.

And finally - the front shock mounts. I realized after I painted the chassis, I forgot to build the dang shock mounts. So here we are. They are raised up considerably at the axle and the shocks are longer than stock. Due to the shackle reverse, I also wanted them behind the axle with a slight tip to the rear.  I used this particular shock because I wanted one shock part number for each corner. The stock application is a 96 Ford Ranger 2wd. Easy to get on the fly should something happen on the road. In the end, the springs and shocks are all the same on each corner. Less spares to carry about.....

Next up is to mount the tub and mock up wiring and steering bits.

Looking good bud. I so miss working on old keeps with the tub off. I replaced my master cylinder yesterday on my 70. What a pain in the butt. Looks like your only a few days away from taking your first drive. LOL  yeh I know, but your doing so well.

I was speaking with a friend of mine recently and he asked, "How the heck do you BUILD something like this with no experience?".

I said, "It's like eating an elephant, one bite at a time."  I heard that quote somewhere else and it seems fitting with these old jeeps.

Nice work!  I love those shock mounts.

Thanks gents!

Minor update - I remounted the tub to get some weight on the chassis. Then I measured for driveshafts, and gave Tom Woods a ring. I went CV 1310 rear and joint/joint 1310 front. I'm excited to get these next week!

I started experimenting with mounting some stuff. Got the battery done and an under
hood tool box. I think this weekend I may spend some time mounting and or mocking up the wiring harness. I'm half considering mounting the fuse block in the underhood ammo box. We'll see where it takes me.

Looks nice! I'll never mount a fuse panel under the cowl again. Tucked in the engine compartment sounds good. In the mid Atlantic sweatbox consider a provision for dealing with moisture if you use the can.
