I am so excited I recieved a call from my Great Aunt telling me that in some old paperwork she found the Original Title for "Mr Clark's" Jeep !! She then asked if I wanted it . To make a long story short I asked if Sunday afternoon would be ok to pick it up. My question is what to do with it. Here in NC to get a title transfered to the new owner you must turn in the old title but with the history of this title do I dare give up the original?? Have any of ya'll had this problem ???? Ideas??

Some motor vehical departments will mail them back to you if so requested, but I don't think I would dare trust them with an original. How about acting as thow the title has been lost and apply for a new one? Another posibility is to get a new title from a company like Broadway Title. I have never done this, but I have heard it works. Good Luck, |

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

When I registered my CO Jeep in CT, I just showed it along with my pile on paper. They handed it back after VIN inspection and said, I didn't need it any more (?). Of course I kept it. I would scan it and keep it in a 2A file along with all of you pictures |

I wouldn't give it up. I would make sure you could get it back before I would take it in to get a title transfer.

I agree. The history of your Jeep is in the original title. I will face the same problem when it comes to get a licsense. I will never give up that title, I just hope things go as well as they did for Ritt. If not I'll grab my stack and "tuck and roll" out of there to make a new game plan. Maybe the first place I go won't be the local licsence office, just to test the water. Let us know how it pans out for you and give us the story, good or bad. Good luck, Gary Bc, congratulations, on your family holding onto something that means so much to you today. Bring your Great Aunt something that will mean something to her.
