GROUP 15-09-A---PARKING LIGHT
Light, Parking, Left Assembly (Up to Serial No. 45680)....PART No. 640197
This is from the '49 Parts list, the '45 listes the same.
I have two that are the same, only different in a couple ways.
The one with the round base, two weep holes and accomodating inner bracket is off Jeep #34692. The one with the more familar oval with set pin is off Jeep #10021. I checked another grill with lights off Jeep #18xxx, it had the oval with the pin also. I checked Jeep #58500 and it had the oval and pin as well (the same only chrome besel).
The other difference is in the Corcoran- Brown stamp one the top. The round based one has small letters and is read from the engine compartment. the one with the oval with the pin is read from the front and has large letters.
I also will show a pic of the one off Jeep #58500..PART #643941
(Chrome Door) (After Seriel No. 45680, up to Serial No. 97740)
This one has a philips head screw.
I haven't seen any others that have a round base with weep holes....WHAT'S ON YOURS???

wyowillys46 (Morgan) is working on making these lenses. Maybe he will chime in on his progress.

I'm not able to view your five images up there , they're seen as ?'s , where else can these be viewed ?
I am restoring a set off a '46 to install in the '47 . I have braided new coper into the short remains , dipped that into a liquid wire tape and reset them into the sockets . Are these the same housings for the marker lights on the mb's Edited by 47goDevil - 24 Dec. 2008 at 3:49am |
