How does the small socket stay in place for the grill parking lights. It is the socket with a small pin?

The parking light sockets are held in place with a compression spring. There is a retainer on the back side of the socket (where the wire enters) that is larger in diameter than the socket body. The spring pushes on the back of the grill and the retainer to hold in the socket against the grill. |

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |
