    Posted: 23 Mar. 2023 at 2:37pm
I will be parting out an old Jeep that started life as a 66 Dauntless. The original 225 odd fire has been replaced with a 231 Buick even fire. The front axle has been replaced with a Dana 30 open knuckle. Otherwise appears to be original and complete.

It has the large hole single stick 18 transfer case, and a T86 transmission with iron adaptor mating it to the BOP bell housing.

11" drum brakes front, 10" drum brakes rear.

Posting this here because I won't be able to set a price on parts until I pull them for inspection.

Anyone interested in any of this stuff just let me know and I will prioritize inspection of whatever part is of interest.

The body is completely toast, none of it worth salvage, and will go on the scrap truck.
If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

Are the JEEP stampings intact on the tub? If so, are you willing to cut them out and ship them? PM sent. Thanks in advance.

Jeep stampings are there, and I don't mind cutting them out before scraping the tub, but it will be a while before I am able to do it.

Are the axles narrow trac?  Is the front axle an narrow trac 30 with lockout hubs and the rear an offset Danna 44?

Not sure how to tell if it is a narrow track, has one junky lockout hub, and a partial junky hub on the other side. Rear is, of course, an offset Dana 44 with tapered axles.

If the 231 has the exhaust manifolds that will clear a Saginaw steering box conversion I’d be interested in the manifolds.

The manifolds I'm looking for would be the ones where both sides dump to the rear, I think '78 through '85 231 even fire

Buick v-6 rear dumps from 1962-1967 are also an option.

You are first to show interest in the engine. PM me.

Engine has fender well headers, no manifolds.

Not necessarily the T86AA.  That said, those parts are hard to come by these days if one is set on a %100 restoration.  I would never swap that transmission into something that it wasn't native to.

I agree with that. Someone who has an early Dauntless with the T86 in the family has expressed interest in it for parts, which as you said are hard to come by these days.
