Using the blast cabinet is like shining a flashlight on the part the way it brightens up the yuck - It really is fun!  Your doing a great job getting everything cleaned up and painted!

Thanks!  I've always loved putting things together.  Like I'm always the guy that puts the Ikea cabinet together when someone gets it at a birthday party or something.  I'm guessing a lot of us here are "that guy" as well.

It does make it much more fun though when these parts are clean and like new.  I probably wouldn't be "that guy" if the Ikea cabinet was full of 70 year old grease and mud...

My collection of goodies is growing. It's like Christmas in April.  Santa must be blind because he still thinks I'm on the nice list for some reason!
Also, either my wife is blind too, or I'm doing a great job intercepting packages from the brown Santa...

Lets see:

1. Brake line kit
2. Fuel tank gasket
3. Motor mounts
4. Drum brake kit
5. T/C boot,  tower boot (if from Walcks it sucks but they all may be crappy no matter who sells them)
6. Speedo cable
7. Seal kit, trans/tc
8. Shackles
9. Radiator hose and clamp
10. Fuel filter?

I kept myself to identifying parts that I recognize from buying them for my own project.
1948 cj2a. Rebuilt L-head, steering, T90, WO 636, steering, brake lines. So far.

Pretty good... No shackles though, if you thought the bag on the right was them, those are U-bolts.
There's also:
battery cables
gas tank padding
wheel cylinders
master cylinder
U-joint
air filter
rotor
brake shoe springs
brake line clamps

I started another thread on this but I got this Omid Ada brake line set as a gift.  I'm happy that I got them since I don't have the best luck double flaring brake lines sometimes.  I just can't get them 100% right, 100% of the time.  But I can't stand the white loom on these lines.  It sticks out like a sore thumb, and is the wrong size.  It's super loose on the brake line.  I think it's probably the correct OD, and material, but it's white and is way too large of an ID.  It really bothers me...

My solution was I bought a one foot section of 16 gauge 2 conductor wire at the local Fleet Farm for 54 cents.

Then I stripped just the insulation off and cut it to the correct sizes.

I slid the insulation underneath the white woven stuff on the brake lines, which filled it out to the correct thickness and density in my opinion, but it was still ugly white.

Then I colored the white with a simple black Sharpie marker.  I think it looks much more acceptable now!

Ok, so I didn't replace everything...

The hubs and drums looked almost new.  I think they were replaced not long before I got it.  Actually the shoes did also but I already bought them so I just replaced them.

Scratch,
very nice work. all looks very familiar . Just wondering did you also do rods, main bearings, rings and  a valve job. the last 134 L head I did I went thru 7 crank shafts. all were cracked , probably a new world record.
I recently acquired a 1945 MB , rather a barn find.  it too will need ever thing.

Thanks!  No I didn't do anything internal to the engine other than a head gasket.  This one runs very good, has good compression and oil pressure so I'll just run it until I need to do some more work to it.  I have a 48 that I'll be working on next and that one needs an engine rebuild for sure.  That will hopefully be next winters project.
