I am looking for the part of a 90 degree rear housing that goes inside the rear drum. (im pointing to it in the picture) I would consider the whole assembly but really just need that one piece. I also need the driveshaft flange that goes on the backside of the rear pto. I see some one else on here is looking for the same part so that might be a long shot. Thank you!

I dont need the drum... just the cast housing inside the drum.

and the rear flange that is missing.

Thanks!

It’s just a protective coating. It feels nice and tight. I don’t think it has many hours on it. She’s in good shape other than the cracked part.

it is more than likely cracked from the vehicle backing into something while it was installed.....you can clean it up, make a small "V" in the crack, and use a coat hanger to braze it closed (seen this done many times) since there is no internal pressure exerting outwards.....

That cast steel can be welded if you can close up the crack to get it aligned right.  That is something you can probably jig up in a press and weld it while held in place.  With the crack closed up you will grind a v-notch down the crack and drill a hole at the end to stop crack progression.  Pre heat with a torch and slow the cooling after welding with a welding blanket, can use high nickel welding rod for stick or use MIG.  If it was mine I would certainly give it a shot as I have had good luck welding cast manifolds and axle center sections.  Do you have it cleaned up to see the crack clearly?

I think I have one of these.  What do think it’s worth?

Hi Seth,

I managed to get the shaft out of the case and the seal out of the flange. There is still a bearing and seal to remove from the case but a press will be required, which I don't have. So, $150 USD for both parts if you would like them.

Thanks

Quentin, if I don’t find one local at the swap meet this weekend I will probably take you up on that. Thank you!
