We have this set-up we picked up lately. It appears its a generic assembly- no part and/or casting number on bushing assembly. Been trying to find installation pics- nothing to date. Bushing housing seems to be oversized compared to the tight area/ pillow block that I installed on my CJ2A. (the u-joint with blue tape is a spare)
Anyone have this assembly already installed? If so, please provide pictures to help me understand how it works. Thanks!

Which PTO do you have Ramsey PT1-J or Koenig 51?
What winch are you connecting to? |

We have several Ramsey PT1-J shifters. Still trying to chase down a few missing parts for one. Hope to find a parts shifter someday for sale. I'll check the shelf for a Koenig 51 shifter.
As for a winch, we have several brands/ models at this time. Mostly Ramsey- need to do an inventory soon. We will likely see what we have for future builds. Edited by cjbilly - 02 Feb. 2023 at 2:26pm |

The center support has two (2) shaft collars on either end with set screws. Fine adjustment once you decide to bolt it down. All three (3) u-joints are of this configuration with a grease zerk. Hope this answers your question. |

Sorry to hijack this thread but I just had a note from a guy -
I have been looking for some time to find an original front drive shaft that connects the Koenig Model 40 PTO to the front Koenig Model 100 winch for a Willys truck. I don't have any information to offer the guy. Any help appreciated. Barry

That is a photo of my Koenig winch I took in 2010 before I sold it to WFB, The drive shaft is not "proper". It needs a pillow block at the rear of the engine, another u joint and of course a separate piece to go to the winch. Otherwise it required interfered with the exhaust pipe. I think a google search my find the proper set up for you.

I would agree that it needs a pillow block, and not just for clearance. The other consideration is that the shaft is longer than the diameter of the shaft would allow without "whipping" in the center. For every size of shafting or tubing on a driveshaft there is a maximum length that will operate safely. For most light truck applications using tubing the limit is about 60 inches center of u-joint to center of u-joint. For PTO shafting of less than one inch in diameter it is about 45 inches center to center. |

Not really, I see no slip joint in the assembly, this is needed as the power train will move on its mounts and the winch Is mounted to the frame, without a men’s to move it has the ability to crack the drop box on the pto, something has to give. Lee😉 |
