I am looking for another original PTO shield for a fellow member. Any condition is OK if realistically priced. I can restore mangled ones to like new. I recently finished one and sent it off to it's new home. Now I have another member interested in one. As I said any condition is OK and I will restore.

I’ve got two in storage. I’ll be back in the States this summer. If you don’t find what you need before then, hit me up in July.I don’t want to sell, but I’d be happy to loan one out to someone who could pattern it for reproduction.

IMHO a restored original is better than a repro any day. I like the hunt for the damaged originals so I can be in contact with more WILLYS folks and I enjoy bringing old parts with some history back from the abyss. I discussed making repros a couple years back with a fellow enthusiast here on the page. He and I both have the ability to make spot on replicas but then everyone would have them and they would no longer be the rare original rare commodity they are.

Hi Gary, If you just want a functional replacement that is not necessarily an exact repro of the original, ( No hole and no chain tab) I might be able to help you out. PM me with what you feel is a reasonable cost. Edited by 3-48s - 26 Feb. 2018 at 9:31pm |

greg hi,
I finally managed to find a pto guard. It was prety much beat up but I managed to resurrect it to the best of my ability. One thing it is missing is the plate with the two tabs that gets spot welded to the underside of the upper edge. I figured this came off due to the damage and was lost with time. I see in your wanted ad that yours suffered the same damage and is missing the tab but in your finished product it has the tabs. So my question could you send me a sketch with the dimensions of this plate so that I can make one up and get it spot welded back onto the guard to finish it off nicely? Thank you Claus |
