OK, I gotta ask, what was the house outlet on the left rear of the Jeep wired to? Brake & tail lights for a trailer? Inquiring minds want to know.

I believe the NEC requires that outlet to be GFCI Wink

Hi, I was wondering if that tail light housing is an original, and if its still in ok condition, If so would you be interested in selling it, I have an original lens to fit it, as long as the two mounting posts are vertical.
Thanks for your time

The tail light housing was original, however it was to badly rusted (Swiss cheese bad) for reconditioning and is now long gone.

Thanks again for getting back to me, I just figured it was worth a shot

If you ever come across any hard to find parts for a CJ2A, Let me know, Rear seats, any Capstan winch parts, Governors, Solid Disc wheels, Or any other stuff you think I might be looking for.
Thanks

Hey, c'mon now, it doesn't even have grounding capability, I am sure that it is old enough to be "Grand Fathered" in. Big smile

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Gentlemen - I understand the message each poster is trying to convey. The tone of the conversation may be offensive to some so I have hidden parts of the posts.

In the spirit of the CJ2A page, please stay on topic.
The original post is to locate some parts with the intention to refurbish them.

The topic is not a free appraisal service, nor the start of a part reproduction business.

Thank You.

Understood. I am new on this site and I see I have had a comment deleted already. This post has been up for some time. As near as I can tell, I am the only one who has come close to offering what the post is asking for. As my shield has not been "refurbished", my question about the price of a refurbished unit is in no way asking for a free appraisal. With the originals so hard to find, I would never consider refurbishing this one and risk it being passed over as being a reproduction. Sorry if I have offended anyone.

No problem CR.

I suggest you PM 3-48's. He probably has a good handle on what it's worth.
Or you can start another thread please.
