Ramsey 8000, Ramsey PTO 1, 7/8 in bell crank that likes to contact the UJA on the winch... Any ideas how to make this work?
Shaft from PTO to winch not mounted yet, must order another UJA and carrier bearing to mount somewhere in-between.

what vehicle are you trying to install this on? a CJ2A?

if so, is the controller a PT-1 "J"?  if not a J, then it will be the wrong down angled unit for the 2A, thus requiring modification to install....

is the winch a front, or a rear mount unit? if a front, the pillow block with bearing was mounted on the side of the bellhousing....

pics would help in giving assistance :)

I'll go out to the barn tomorrow and check for this "J" on the PTO.

I would have better luck fixing this problem on my own before I figure out how to post pics on this forum, but I'll try this too tomorrow.

Oh, it's a stock 49 CJ2A... Well, it was before this winch project :-)
My pop bought it back in 1954. An airloom if you will. Actually in pretty good shape thanks to Beachwood Canvas for having just about any part I can break on it.
