I took the TDI jeep to the quarry to get weighed today. 2420lbs with me in it.  Then I took the long way home through farm country.

I'm guessing the trip through farm country was the real reason for the trip and the weighing was just a cover story!  Big smile

Very cool. And barely added any weight if any, crazy how light these little things are.

Great pictures! I especially like the b&w photos.

How's the power with the TDI? It was one of the swaps I considered when I dropped the Dauntless in mine, but I couldn't find anyone who talked about whether the motor was really suited to the jeep.

Thanks Les.... The power with the tdi is exceptional! Its smooth and linear. The variable geometry turbo has almost no lag so power come in by 1500 rpm. It accelerates very quickly. It has more power than I will ever need. Even in overdrive I can pull hills at 55 without losing any speed. With the software tune I have installed I am at 110 hp and and 190 ft.lbs.  If i installed larger nozzles I could bump that up to 135/240. That would be unnecessary in my opinion. With my current setup I am getting 38mpg. That gives me a safe 325-350 mile range with the stock tank.
