This is very sad news for me in more ways than one. JP and 4WOR are printed and bound at Quad Graphics In Sussex WI. They are a customer to my company.

I'm a little surprised about the number all at once, but not surprised generally.  I haven't had a magazine subscription to anything in years, and have only bought singles off a news rack a handful of times.  Victims of the internet I'm afraid.  The same thing is going on with brick and mortar retail space, moreso now that stuff can just show up at the house.

When I saw this Friday I was wondering about that. I hate to see them go. I subscribed to JP for close to 20 years.

You discussed the possibility of a fall in magazine circulation with me over coffee in the morning during the last CFFC Fall Color Tour. Sorry this is such a sudden change. Hope your company can survive this and find some other way to make up the revenues.

Good luck and I'm sure we will cross paths in the future. Keep wheelin'!

Wow, sad news all around. As I was reading the news story I was thinking of Jeff talking about how his company binds printed materials, including magazines. I have every issue of JP from the very beginning when it was, maybe Rob Reasor or something like that, as the editor. The stories were done in guy's driveways or car ports, just like we do. Winds of change.

Mine runs out years from now as well.  I still receive something like 8 or 10 print magazine subscriptions.

Yeah, and that's gonna play out just like my subscription to Rod & Custom did years ago.

Makes you feel kinda used doesn't it?

MANY years ago I had about 2.5 years left on a 3 year subscription to Pickup, Van & 4WD magazine when Petersen Publications bought it.  They promised that the magazine would stay true to its roots, but they VERY quickly changed it to a street pickup magazine (with the occasional street van included).  If they'd offered to switch my subscription over to 4 Wheel and Off-Road at that time I probably wouldn't still be bitter toward Petersen Publications.

That experience kept me from placing longer term subscriptions to magazines, but I caved recently and did pay for 3 years of Petersen's 4 Wheel and Off Road...

The CJ2A forum is the reason I didn’t renew my 4Wheel and off-road subscription.
I want to see Flatfenders!! So here I am.
The last time I ran out to buy a paper mag was because of some famous mostly stock, OD colored NDT wearing rock crawlerWink
Or some other rock bashing flatfender that some guy brought back from udder destruction, and shows people what a flathead 4cyl old jeep can do!
Now those where the paper mag issues that will be missed Cry

Udder destruction? Maybe a skid plate would help.....   BW
It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.
