The radiator brush screen has clips that hold it on to the grill bars. The top two clips have a section that sticks out and up from the front of the guard, to farm a small channel in each clip.

I have never understood the design of this. Is something supposed to fit in there?

I have a feeling that I am going to feel stupid when someone points out the reasons for this design, but for now I can't think what it is.

Anyone have the answer?

I'm glad you asked this question Mike. Mine has the same clips and I have wondered what they were for also.

I've found one post which asked if they were there to pull on with your fingers to remove the grill! Otherwise there is not much to grab hold of to remove the screen.

Seems reasonable enough to me. Unless someone else has any better suggestions?
