i am so very sorry to inform those here that my friend Ralph Young did not survive the crash of his plane this morning. Details are sketchy at this time as I was just informed only minutes ago by mutual friend. All I know is he was flying to NC to visit with a friend. I am so distraught I could barley login to type this notice.

I just got another call. Ralph’s ‘41 Piper went down on Fancy Gap mountain.

This is awful news. Ralph was a great friend to all of us. A very giving man! He will be missed. I pray for Cathy and the rest of his family.

Didn't really know Ralph, but I always enjoyed his insightful posts here.
Grampa’s Jeep has a windshield frame that came to me from Ralph via Jpet. I tried to pay Jeff for it and he just said “No, Ralph just told me to find it a good home.”

So sorry to hear about Ralph.  He was a super nice guy and he will be missed.  I always enjoyed reading his posts here.
He was beyond generous to me back when I was doing my restoration by sending me a full good usable hood and took the time to crate it up properly and ship it out to me and wouldn't accept a dime.

Might be cliche but he was doing what he liked best.
Prayers and thought out to his family.
