Well thanks but I really dont have an hour to watch a video. I skimmed through and didnt even see the brake drum in the video.
I'm thinking when I put the yoke back on it will pull it forward once I tighten all of it. Edited by 76291 - 13 May 2021 at 5:57pm |

You are missing the companion flange to make this assembly bolt together correctly. Insert the companion flange through the parking brake drum and slide assembly onto the splines. The companion flange gets fastened to the output shaft with the large nut, and then parking brake drum is drawn up to the companion flange with the 3/8 screws. The flange part of the companion flange will be far enough away from the end of the bearing cap such that the heads of the 3/8 screws will not contact the rear bearing cap once tightened down.

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife. |

I'm waiting on a sleeve for the flange yet. Stick the yoke through the drum then tighten it up and the 4 bolts will suck it together.

Metalshaper is a gold mine of expertise. He is a perfectionist and does extremely high quality work. I have studied many of his videos in tackling jobs just like this one. This video shows the disassembly, but you can see the flange and how it is is assembled. Just reverse the order.

This is a great parts list, I normally make a link to it and put it right on my home screen so I can find it fast. http://www.cj-2a.com/parts_list/ |
