I'm not sure if anyone in the community knows John Fruetel from Albany Oregon, he was an almost 93yo jeep enthusiast you dealt mainly in military jeeps. He has restored countless MBs and GPWs. A few months ago I bought a LinkBelt Capstan winch from him to mount on my recently finished Orange jeep that I brought to the reunion. John and I were in constant communication during the install and we shared many Facetime calls working out the bugs.
Sadly, John passed away last Friday night, ironically during the spring reunion, I had been keeping him updated throughout the show but hadn't heard back from him. His son finally contacted me with the news.
