Another one I think.
I just got a message from a new member, directing me to contact his friend's email address. This was in response to a WTB I had posted. User name is "stefflons" Joined an hour and a half ago, and when I looked at the profile it said "writing private message" so probably responding to another WTB.

Turner99 and stefflons seem to be using the same tactics. They may be scammers as well.

They probably are reading these posts, as the grammar of the message I got this time was a little better than those I have gotten before, didn't say "send a mail".
I have trouble believing this crap is profitable to these birds. I wish this forum had a waiting period on new users before they can access the classifieds, or send private messages, but that may not be fair to honest folk getting on here with a valid reason. |

What a name too. I don't respond to anyone until they have been active on the forum for a while and participate in at least a few conversations, and I sure don't respond to someone trying to get me to contact a third party outside of the forum.

you can rest assured that an email address such as firstnamelastname1234@gmail.com is a scam. also commonly used on craigslist scams. not sure the intent. they do harvest the victims email address for some nefarious purpose.

I posted a thread about wanting a spare tire about 4 pm today. At 7pm, I get a message from someone who just joined the forum (Yes, Tonydeen) telling me about a "Nicholas" who has some for sale. It's the exact same MO that has been rocking this forum for quite some time and although I would love to join in on the fun and try to waste his time like I did the last one (https://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/possibe-scammer_topic50672.html?KW=scam)... I'm going on vacation for 10 days and don't want the work.
My question is, how do they do this? Are they bots? Are there scammers just surfing this forum looking for wanted threads? If you are one of these scammers and see this, please PM me. I've always wondered how they do it so fast! Now if they'd put as much effort into a real career as they do scamming people, they'd be filthy rich!
