For some reason that choice of phrasing seems to be more prevalent a little East of here. Legitimate forum members would usually carry on a conversation via PM through the forum before exchanging an email address.

I appreciated MBullism calling my attention to it.
He was suspended within 4 hours of enrolling, and in that 4 hours PM'd several members. The red flag to me was that the email they registered with was not the one they sent in the PM's.
