This is all interesting and a wealth of knowledge is this place. Best orum I'm on by far. I wish there were t-shirts . The only other option I can do at this point is get in contact again with Florida and see if there is any other information. Apparently they recorded the engine serial number on classic vehicle and I never gave them that number. She does run and drive but need to replace many of the seals and freshen up some of the old and tired components. PA lets you use a classic tag so I have a 1948 plate ready to go. |

Off topic but does anyone know the roll pin size for a t90 shifter fork?

Heck if it were mine, I would buy the "lefty" brackets & have 2 spare tires. I have had times when wheeling that 2 spares were not enough.
Hmmm, that get me to thinking I might do that "mod" on my 2A. It is not even close to being original anyway. Hmmm. |

Sounds good at first, but one of the advantages of our flatties on the trail is that they are skinny. Hang two tires off the sides and you'll get twice the opportunities to tear one of them off.

Just a thought... If you wanted to carry a couple spares and you have a rear tire mount design, how about extending the tire mount studs and double stacking those bad boys? You stay skinny, and keep the cargo area clear for camp gear, spare parts, supplies, food and extra fuel. I've never seen it, but it might work.
