I'm starting to try to fix some of my "leaks"!
The first set I'm working on is the rear axle seat (now I have a somewhat
new yoke on order after seeing the finish on my old one)
and now have the back of the transfer case off and I'm thinking some leakage is
where the shim plates are, some from the shaft seal and some from the
speedometer cable location.

Could someone tell me how much play should be fitting and the speedometer
gear that passes thru it? I was thinking that there was a bushing in the plug
but I don't see one, and if the plug is bad what is it called and where would
I get one?

I found one in my backup transfer case. It seems to have a lot less play the one I had.

I've seen references of  150 ft.lbs  to 175 for the yoke. I usually go 150 and have not had any problems. The rear cap spec is 30 ft.lbs

to many jeeps, parts, and accessories to list here, but apparently enough to keep me in trouble with my wife.
