My tire measured around 29.5 inches. The width was just a tad more than 7 inches.

Probably not much help, but just to add to the data collection. I have Cooper Cross Country 7.00x16". They measure about 30.5" x 7.25".

Well, that's pretty darn decent of them! They sound like a good place now. |

Here are some pics of the tire unmounted:
The tire weights 34 lbs. They say, it mounts on a 16 x 6 wheel: ..... whatever .... |

JPET, The dimension you are measuring is typically called bead spacing. I bears little resemblance to the width of the rim on Bias tube type products, but it does suggest they don't use PCI (post cure inflation).
The tire is advertised as a bias BELTED tire. I highly doubt it has belts. It also appears to have a 60 degree ply angle (instead of 45) and no fabric toeguard. (=cheap).

Bottom line is, these tires are not wide enough for a 6” wheel. |

They are not meant to be run without a tube. The tube expands the bead width to seat on the wheel.

I just received a set of 6.00x16 Speedways and I was actually relieved to see they had redesigned the logo for the sidewall. I like SWT much better than SPEEDWAYS. These were manufactured in Jan 2018.
