Gentlemen:

This probably has nothing to do with the conversation at hand but this just popped out on Craigslist and is selling for a mere $250.  It is a SPEN 1/4 ton trailer.  It is located in Blairstown, NJ.

Please click on the link.  Hope someone might be able to get this one and restore it :)

Hello there, was looking at these posts looking for information on spen trailers,I inhereted one from my dad, used to pull it with our 56 farmall tractor cleaning out barn stalls when I was younger. It came with canvas top, boughs, just went & checked it has square axle, one tail light its not to good a shape, has square housing guard around it,just light shell is all that is left of light.Lost one spen hubcap, would like to find one for it.It needs a total restoration, tailgate is still on it but warped,if you all need pics let me know I will try to help out all I can.Thanks.Smile My e-mail address is[jeepnut48@yahoo.com].

Hi Jeff,
I saw in one of your trailer´s photo that you put some tail gate chain cover.
Any advice where can I find a set for my Spen ? Those were made by you ?
Could you give the long of the covers?
I know my chains are originals and have the same number of links as yours.
Tks in advance

The Spen trailer on Ebay shows a clear exmaple of the tailgate logo:

....... Looks like I was missing the "OF A".  In light of the new information, I have updated my pdf file:

Bob,

The PDF file is to scale and fits on 11x17 paper. You can email the PDF to a local shop and they can make you a vinyl decal.

Hi, Just purchased a Spen Model V after looking for a utility trailer.  Dumb luck did not know what I was purchasing until I got it home and started doing some research after seeing the Spen logo on the spare hubcap.  Anyway, was looking for info and found your post regarding your Shadow Project and saw you were struggling with the tail light issue.  Crazy thing is the trailer I purchased has the original light attached and a spare that was inside the trailer.  Not sure if it would be the same for your trailer?  Watched your video with your 4 wheeling, looked like fun!
