Just looked at a Jeep trailer a couple hours ago. Thought it was a Bantam, but now I think its a Spen. Its got the half height tailgate, 6 bolt wheels, triangular landing leg. Anyone have any info on them. I was going to buy it tonite but didn't have the right ball on the truck. Going to pick it up on Saturday. It's got some rot in the floor but otherwise not bad shape. Think $200 Canadian is a fair price?
It looks like this one in this post:

Sorry it doesn't have any hub caps on it. I was going to ask him tommorow when I pick it up if he knows where they are.

Hello Bob,
I am restoring a trailer ( Bantam type), and the body is not assembled like my early Bantam (spot welds). This one is assembled by mig or stick, there is not a single spot weld anywhere in the construction. I am wondering if you could post some photos of the seams, stake pockets, and tie-downs and the method in which yours is constructed.
Or if you could describe the construction I would much appreciate your help.

Yea $200 is a fantastic price as Spen is the only true Willys Approved utility trailer. They are rated 3/4 ton too and have a better tailgate hinge design.
The floor is more solid too. I'm in the process of finding a place to make the steel top bows. I need 10 guys though to make three each.

It's a Spen. They came in at least two stud configurations. One was 6 bolt Chevy pattern and the other was 5 bolt Ford, Jeep.
