 How much of a difference between the 15 vs 90 transmissions and the 20 vs 18 TC's in rebuilding?  Have done a few 90 / 18 sets and have a 15 / 20 set to do, but the excellent YouTube videos aren't available for them.
Appreciate any insights.

T90 = 8" OAL vs T15 =10" OAL.
T90 = 60 pounds vs T15 = 80 pounds.
T90  first gear = 2.798 or 3.339 vs T15 first gear = 2.99
T 15 front Bellhousing adapter  plate required for most Willys applications.
T15 has the desireable 6 spline mainshaft (output) so its easy to add overdrive it if mated to a D18.

Truth is the T15 is the strongest and finest transmission ever built that directly bolts to the "Texas" pattern.

No T90 nor T15 parts interchange but rebuild is a virtually identical procedure.

D20 is merely an ingenious factory modification (change) of the famous D18.
The rebuild procedure is very similar with specific differences.
The methods by which these 2 tranfer cases shift is one of the most notable differences.

Both D18 and  D20 can  be easily rebuilt using the standard factory service procedures.

Good T15 parts are hard to find.  One of the shafts is essentially non existent except in garbage china form.  When I was building mine I called Herm and he couldn’t even find good parts.  I stumbled on a person selling a hoard of NOS stuff, I purchased what I needed and then told Herm about it.  I believe he bought up the rest of it.  I can’t remember if Advance Adapters started making parts.

Advance Adapters has a great rebuild guide.  They will send it to you in paper form, but at the time I did my T15 they would not send it digitally for fear of it being released.

I ran a T15 behind my FI 4.3 vortex and it went into a Dana 20 case fitted with 18 guts and twin stick. Great combo. I'm hunting another as we speak. Want to put it in my 70 Dauntless.
