Hi All,
I was working in Northern Indiana this week and it turns out that my customer had a "jeep trailer" that he got from his grandpa. He wasn't sure what it was so he shared some pictures with me: Even though the hitch has been modified, it is fascinating to see that it still has it's combat wheels, and the data tags with rivets. Is there anyone keeping a database on these? Edited by jpet - 30 Jan. 2015 at 12:27am |

Yes it is. It is a T-6 1/4 ton Navy contract. http://g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=188756 http://www.ewillys.com/2009/11/29/builds-joshs-ww2-us-navy-converto-t6-trailer/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/100306713@N08/sets/72157635060547380/ .... You are likely thinking of the 1/2 ton airborne trailers like Russ has. http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_converto_trailer.php Date is somewhere between '43 and '45 |

..... oh I see you are talking about the "dump" part. Idk about that. He told me it dumps. I never saw the actual trailer. Doesn't look like it does by the pics.

Nice trailer and would make a great one for the military jeep guys that wanted a original trailer with a gate. It looks like Navy used 1/4 ton Converto like the pic you posted and Army used 1/2 ton Converto that was a dump and looks different and with no fenders.
