I have put 6 good wheeling trips and a 140 miles on the road with the TBI. All is well. Now we are swapping out the temporary adaptor plate and TBI unit for newer versions. Also the pool noodle air horn seal will be gone. Oh and I brought this gem home yesterday. 48 “Trilly” was at a small airport hanger in NY for 15 years then brought to a dudes house where he decided to sell it.

Was this a kit or DIY? What TB is used? I’m strongly considering adding TBI to the Mercruiser in my 2a.

IDK yet. so far I got it running and seems healthy. For now park it and enjoy staring at it. Most likely go over it from top to bottom front to back mechanically and pass along. Between this thought and then it could get turned into some crazy off road toy.... sure is different.

I have been working with Norm Witte Jr. at Affordable Fuel Injection. Once the final few things are buttoned up he will offer this as a kit. I’m not sure where it’s going to come in price wise but as his name states I believe it’s going to be very reasonable and since all the BS is out of the way it should go on each and every Willys without any problems in a day. Let me know if there’s anything else I can provide for you.

no sir. 12v is a must. Solid core plug wires also a no no. I’m running a 12 gen (I hate the look of an alt) and that’s somtimes an issue in its self. These Or any Injection will need plenty of battery and charging. Hope this helps.

You have done a really clean job of fuel injecting the flathead. If I ever end up with a stock flatty this would be my first upgrade. It looks great!

Not TBI but a aluminum radiator question. How did you address the bottom curved outlet tube interference with the stock steel shroud. Change to a straight tube or cut shroud? Pics??

Fuel mileage is to be determined. I know these little buggers are sure hungry at least all mine are. I don’t expect it to be much better than the carb but be more reliable and with different temperatures, elevations, inclines etc etc be more friendly over all. I’m sure there’s some folks out there on this page that could clue me in on MPGs.
