Welcome to the Cj2A Page!

Looks very 1948ish.  What year is it?

Thanks. Good spot, the previous owner said it was built in 1947 and registered Jan 48 was brought to the UK in 2011.
I have attached the serial number and body plate if anyone could help any further?

Like the looks of those combat wheels.  Any history on the top?

Welcome!  It's cool to hear from another Jeep enthusiast from across the pond!  Nice looking flattie!  Noticed it's sporting combat rims.

Yea looks good. Apparently it came with no wheels and had to make do with Landrover!

I am assuming as it appears the Serial number on the two plate do not match its a LATE 48 after Willys took over the manufacture of the Sheet metal.

I was coming to that conclusion. Which is great as I’m still well pleased with my Jeep. If anyone can help I’m looking for headlight housings. Where can I get some? The company that’s been helping me with parts recons they can get them but I’m not too sure about that. Can’t find any on the web.

Nice looking Jeep !
Put a ad in the wanted section here for the headlight buckets. There are a few UK members , they may see it and be able to help. I’m sure a member here in the US would send you some too but I’ve heard the import tax can be high.
