So it looks like the best way to attach my fancy New Dual electric fan unit to my radiator is going to be be to have the local Welder guy weld 4) tabs on the sides of my Radiator so I can just bolt it to the shroud the way it is done on a Sirocco radiator. The sides of the Radiator appear to be about 1/8" T and I would need to
have 4) little 1/8" T x 3/4" angle about 1" long welded in place. Can anyone think of a reason that could cause trouble? I could then use 4) 1/4" x 28t bolts and lock nuts to hold it on and tight against the core.

The Champion radiator is TIG welded together at the factory (in China?). If the person welding is good, it should be a good idea. I would say though that you want a larger length of angle to make the brackets. Spread any stress out as much as possible for longevity.
