The 873’s are internally stamped and if I recall correctly the virtually identical 5O823 are stamped externally near the valve stem.
KH wheels basically consist of 2 parts the Rim and the Disk.
If you measure these wheels fully across from outermost rim lip to outermost rim lip they are 7” wide.
Half of 7” is 3–1/2” or true centerline.
4-1/4” in from to innermost rim lip to to the disk mounting face implies the wheel to be exactly 3/4” inset from true centerline.
Got that ?

Guess what? You're absolutely right, they are 873s. I found a photo I took before the tires were mounted. So, what vehicle would these have come off of?

873’s and 50823’s are some of the most desirable KH wheels a jeep can have.
Depending of course on your selected tire size.
They were specifically made to fit 7.50 x 16” tires.
They were only available from 1963-1965 when the Willys pickup and FC 170 tire service standard changed from 7.00 x 16” to a 7.50 x 16” designation.
So these were only available on those 2 vehicles during their final 3 years of production.
I’ll gladly swap you for a complete set of KH heavy duty 5” x 16” wheels which are intended for the 7.00 x 16” tires.
Just think you”ll save 4 pounds per wheel. Yet the 5”x 16” rims (not disks) will actually be formed from 1 gauge thicker steel.

Was not intending to diverge toward the topic of wheels but the fact is that excepting KH 8x15” Renegade wheels; the choice of which KH wheel you have; that KH Jeep wheel choice will yield zero effect upon allowable steer angle. Only changing the wheel set by adding spacers would effect steering radius.
Otherwise……
Rubbing on front springs is strictly about the tire diameter and tread width.
