Found a(nother) Jeep I'm interested in. Owner says its a CJ2A body on a M38 frame, runs and drives. The thing I really need to ask about is this jeep doesn't have a title, owner says its never had a title. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to get it titled in Missouri? Thanks in advance Edit: Another question is what number would I want to use to either check for shenanigans/title. I'm going to be looking at the jeep this week and want to know what to grab.

My experience has not been good on vehicles without titles. If your goal is make it street legal with either standard or year of manufacture date / historical plates - I'd suggest getting the titling worked out before sinking a lot of money into it.
Others may have ideas, but Missouri is tough - or at least it has been in the past. Good luck!

Any advice on how I should procede? I've done some research but nothing compelling has come up. I do have the serial, the seller sent a picture of the data tag

Got some more info from the seller, he bought the jeep 2 years ago from a
guy who bought the tub and the frame at an auction and put them
together, looking like a pass on this one aswell.
