Took the TJ from Hwy 16 up FS 117 to Moon, SD after lunch to day.  Muddy, standing water and cows with new babies the first couple of miles then snow.  Deep rutted drifts close to Moon.  Would not have gotten to Moon with out four wheel drive.  The Wrangler is snug and warm for this type of afternoon trip.

No, not today.  It looked really deep going down six mile road.

Dang. We were close. I was up in Rochford. Went through Mystic to get there, and thought about returning via Deerfield. There was decent snow in spots.

14 days and no snow on the road to block the way.  Took the pickup to Moon and brought a load of wood home.  Ran on to five recent model Jeeps covered in mud.  Spring in the Black Hills.

You must have found the wood I had spotted Tom! I'll have to go find other wood now. (Kidding) Nice to hear things are opening up. We soon will need to do some Jeep camping up there. Oilly
